Who is responsible for your information

SecaTeq Group is run by SecaTeq (Pty) Ltd, the responsible party under POPIA. Our office is at Unit 2, Royal Cape Golf Club, 174 Ottery Rd, Wynberg, Cape Town, 7800.

Our Information Officer is Rujhio Phillips. Send privacy questions and requests to admin@secateq.com.

Calls to our 24/7 AI reception

Calls to 011 088 5419 are answered by our AI reception. Each call is recorded, logged and routed to our operations team so we can act on it. Call recordings are kept for 365 days.

Quote requests, email and WhatsApp

Our quote and callback form is on scan.secateq.com. When you use it, email us at admin@secateq.com or message us on WhatsApp at +27 71 375 0923, we use the details you give us to reply to your enquiry and to arrange a site walkthrough.

WhatsApp messages are handled by SecaTeq. WhatsApp’s own privacy terms also apply to messages sent through it.

We keep enquiries only for as long as we need them for that purpose, or for as long as the law requires.

SecaBot

SecaBot, our AI assistant, works inside the SecaTeq portal for our clients. The demonstration portal on this website shows SecaBot with prepared sample answers. Nothing you click in the demonstration is sent to us.

Job applications

If you send us a job application, we use your CV and contact details only to consider you for work with SecaTeq and to contact you about it.

Service providers

We use service providers to host this website, to answer and record calls to our AI reception, and to run our email. Some of them store information on servers outside South Africa.

This website

This website runs no analytics or advertising tags. Its fonts and images are served from the site itself. The cookie and the browser storage it uses are listed under Cookies below.

If you arrive from an ad or a tagged link, the site keeps that link’s campaign tags in your browser for that visit only, in session storage, and passes them to the quote form. That tells us which ad or link brought your enquiry. Nothing else is stored.

Cookies

When you first open the site, the entry screen asks two things: whether you want sound, and which cookies you accept.

  • stq_consent, a first party cookie that remembers your cookie choice (essential only, or all) for one year. It is essential: without it the site would ask you again on every visit.
  • stq-entered and stq-sound, kept in your browser’s local storage, remember that you have been through the entry screen and whether you chose sound. They never leave your browser.

Today the site sets no analytics or advertising cookies, whichever choice you make. If we add any, they will run only for visitors who chose to accept all, and this notice will list them first.

Your rights

Under POPIA you can:

  • ask what personal information we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct or delete it;
  • object to how we use it;
  • complain to the Information Regulator if you are not satisfied with our answer.

To make a request, email admin@secateq.com. We will confirm your identity before we reply.
